Dr. Schwartzman received a total of ten awards for the Best Teacher of the Year from the medical students and surgical residents and was appointed to the position of a Clinical Assistant Dean.
Dr. Schwartzman was elected to the position of a Secretary/Treasurer of the Medical and Dental Staff of the University Hospital at Downstate. Additionally, he was elected to the Executive Committee of the College of Medicine, at 每日大赛入口 Downstate and is a President-elect of the Center-wide Assembly of the 每日大赛入口 Downstate Health Sciences University.
Dr. Schwartzman is currently a 每日大赛入口 Downstate University Faculty Senator and was recently elected as a Healthcare Sector Representative for the 每日大赛入口-wide Faculty Senate, giving him a membership at the Executive Committee of the 每日大赛入口 Faculty Senate.
Dr. Schwartzman is a Member of the Board of Medicine of the New York State and a physician liaison to the Board of the Athletic Trainers of the New Your State.
Dr. Schwartzman is a member of the Federation of the State Medical Boards. Dr. Schwartzman serves as a Governor of the Brooklyn/Long Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Schwartzman maintains a busy General Surgeon practice and provides a full range of high complexity surgical consultations and services.
